1. Acceptance

By creating an account on nestworth, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What nestworth is

nestworth is a personal finance tracking and planning tool. It calculates a "Freedom Year" based on your inputs and standard FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) methodology.

nestworth is not a financial adviser. Nothing in the service constitutes personalised financial advice under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

The numbers nestworth shows are estimates based on the information you provide and mathematical models. They are not guarantees of future returns, outcomes, or dates. Always consult a licensed financial adviser before making significant financial decisions.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to use nestworth.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information. nestworth's calculations are only as good as the data you enter.
  • You may only have one account per person.

4. Subscription and billing

  • nestworth offers a 7-day free trial. Your card is charged at the end of the trial if you do not cancel.
  • The current price is NZ$90 per year (incl. GST), billed annually.
  • You may cancel at any time from your settings. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial periods, except as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  • Prices may change. We will give you at least 30 days notice before any price increase.

5. Akahu connection

If you connect your bank accounts via Akahu, you authorise nestworth to read your account balances and transaction summaries. This connection is read-only. nestworth cannot move money on your behalf. You can revoke this access at any time from your settings.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use nestworth for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service.
  • Share your account with other people.
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, nestworth is not liable for any financial losses arising from reliance on information displayed in the service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us during that period.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep nestworth available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes at any time. We will try to give advance notice of significant downtime.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@nestworth.co. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of nestworth after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
